Look who's got a new nose
Plastic lips and fake tits
Ever tasted silicon?
I've got scars on my eyes

Look who is the best dressed
Oh, my gosh, the worst hair
Who designed that mink coat?
I've got stars in my eyes

Oh-oh-oh

Guess who's got a new car?
Bet she dates a rock star
I want to make a million
I've got lies in my mouth

Eyeshadow and glitter gold
Diamond rings and lip-syncs
Anything material
I've got scars on my eyes

Alright

Baby, you know if you're not beautiful
Just cover it up
With make-up kits and perforated scalpel seams
We'll do you right up
I'm so obsessed with looking like celebrities
Make myself throw up
But it's all right cause one day I know I'll be fine
Like everyone else
And it's alright

Music played to advertise
Logo shirts and hairstyles
Chop and cut monopolize
I've got scars in my mouth
Worship to the cash cow
Nod your head now take a bow
Faking grins and cleft chins
I've got stars in my eyes

Alright

Baby, you know if you're not beautiful
Just cover it up
With make-up kits and perforated scalpel seams
We'll do you right up
I'm so obsessed with living like celebrities
Make myself throw up
With staple skin and backstab flattery
I'm coughing it up
And It's all

Hey, little darling
I'll sell you the definition
If you follow me through pages
And channels of deceit where
Everyone is perfect and nobody grows old
You're bliss in the ignorance of images
'Cause beautiful is what we're selling

Yeah
Alright, alright
hold me down, yeah
So sell it
So sell it
So sell it, so sell it
So sell you beautiful
I've got stars in my eyes
(It's not how you feel it's only how you look)

Baby, you know if you're not beautiful
Just cover it up
With make-up kits and perforated scalpel seams
We'll do you right up
I'm so obsessed with looking like celebrities
Make myself throw up
But it's all right cause one day I know I'll be fine
Like everyone else
And it's all
Yeah, you know it's all they're selling you
Yeah, it's all they're selling you
Oh, it's all they're selling you darling
Do it

This song was written by Matt while he looked at a "People" magazine...alot of the lyrics came directly from the magazine, I thought that was kind of a cool idea...

He reuses the verse melody from the previous album's "Dirty Little Religion", the topics of the verses are all over the place, and he packs too many words into one line (goes to show...) and too few in another (it's pretty hard to find), and rhymes "Henley Regatta" with "Persona non grata", but gets away with it all as only he could.

Like a lot of the other comments are saying, I think this mainly about voyeurism. If the song was about his girlfriend, then why would he use the word spy. If you are a spy it means you shouldn't be caught, that is kind of the whole point, and if you are a voyeur, the whole point of the pleasure you get from it, is the fact that the other people don't know you are watching them. See a bit of a connection there?

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
