I love this song I think it means he wants her soo much that she's killing him, and he can't have her so he thinks its an addiction, and she won't take the blame that he likes her.....why not? lol
I think this song is about how he loves a girl and she uses drugs maybe ... and she got him into it. This is my favorite RX bandits song by far ... it's beauitful and I cant believe there's only one comment on it. It's such a great song ... sigh
I think this is about how his girl uses drugs and how he doesn't want to love her but he does. This song is utterly amazing and RX Bandits should be given an award or something. The horn solos are amazing too. Anyway I think she introduced him to his addiction, and he's wondering if loves an infection, or a sick addiction (like how he's "addicted" to her) This is the best song by the RX Bandits I think ... and one of my favorites period.

well some of the song lyrics are wrong but thats ok you still get the same point. My opinion about this song is when he uses she or her he is really talking about heroine. He is telling us how he doesnt want to love it ,feel it , hear it , or think about it anymore but he has no choice cause he is infected. Hes telling us he doesnt want to depend on it anymore but when he isnt on it he hurts inside so he is trying to figure out if its love or more of a curse.

how fucking cool was that? nate on infection. my favorite rxb song. the after a year and a half, the strings STILL give me chills down my spine at the end of the song. AMAZING song. this was my summer song. song song song. song song.
I have a different idea about the meaning of this song.
I think he is actually comparing love or this girl to a drug addiction. So maybe he’s saying when he’s with this girl he gets a sort of high and is happy. Then when he cant be with her he’s in pain and feels like he needs her. I dunno if my theory is right but the line “Is LOVE an infection” makes it seem like it could be right. Also the line “if I cant afford HER my veins begin to ache” adds to that idea. and yeah nate on infection was awesome
