Cessation

Defying all logic
Defying gravity
The serpent trickles in liquid form
Scalding and blue it slithers untouched
Living but never breathing

Weaving between the roots
Soaking into the ground
It can see the lights through the fog
And hear the voices far off
Sensing their footsteps as clumsy pulses

Space is flexible
Easy to bend
The snake won't rest until the last light's dimmed
It slinks towards the fogged beams
Icicles are left in its path
Enclosing it's pray in icy cocoons

Defying all logic
Defying gravity
We mustn't let the serpent near
Darkness is a refuge
Hide in the cast-less shadows and wait

And call upon the ambience
An Aurora looms amongst nearby trees
Sparks of energy burn the very air
But we must overcome this elusive nothing
Before it grows into something
