The Ghost Woman And The Hunter Lyrics

Staring at the sun
no rays down on me
I call you in my arms
embrace is unreal

You're moving on
we'll never be apart
just drain my tears
I cry aloud

You're moving on
you'll never be a part
of all my tears
I cry aloud

Calling on your sins
you're here in my dreams
a desert place
I'm not alone

Do you really
want to be me?

You're moving on
we'll never be apart
just drain my tears
I cry aloud

You're moving on
you'll never be a part
of all my tears
I cry aloud

Well...lets see. I have two interpretations for this song. There's the more obvious one, which you can deduct from just looking at the title. Two lovers, separated by the boundaries of life and death, the hunter's still looking for the deceased ghost woman, they're physically apart, but not spiritually.

My second one is more of the take I got on the song w/out the title in mind. It feels like a metaphorical description of someone who's lover broke up with them some time ago. Going about each day, the deserted person is dwelling on the fact that their former lover is simply moving on, never being a part of their sadness, tears, and broken life because, well...they've moved on. "Embrace so unreal" speaks of the yearning for that person's touch, and "calling on your sins, you're here in my dreams" is the singer thinking about what the person did(abandoned, ignored, moved on), making them believe they are alone physically, however knowing they're not alone in this world of pain. Anyway, that's what I make of this.

It is always hard having somone you love so much getting torn away from you. Not being able to feel there touch or embrace ever again, never being able to hear there voice... It makes life miserable on all of us... It causes us to cry, and to never let the memory of that person go no matter how painful it may be.

One of the most moving songs off "comalies", all its about to me is this girl has just broke up wiv someone, nd now he's moving on nd she believes he's forgotten all about her and moved on, while shes still stuck in the same place, she won't let herself get ova it, nd shes pining ova her lost love.....it's one of my fave songs by lacuna coil for sure.....a lovely song!

Just the title itself is amazing, it paints a picture of a strong masculine figure, and a woman who he will never see. The rays seem to be attention fom this hunter and there are none shining on the ghost, she feels as if he doesn't even care about her. The chorus seems to me to be a fantasy/reality thing. In the first part she is saying that they're together and they'll never ba apart, and he will protect her from all her fears, but the reality sinks in and she realises she is alone and he will never be there to stop her from crying. She then goes on to say she dreams of him, one place where she is not alone. That is what i thought of the song, but after reading all of your guy's comments it does seem as if it is after a relationship, but I stick to my interpretation. This song is so beautiful. tear

i think this song is about a girl that just got dumped and all the misery she has to deal with. she sort of can't believe that it's actually over at first, but as the song progresses she realizes that he's moved on and probably forgotten about her

Despite the creative title, this song is amazing and Crisina's voice in this song is wonderful and she shows that she has the ability to sing a sad ballad.
