This song always gives me a Native American/American Indian/Indian type of feel of it, probably due to the nature theme of the song. I always felt this song was saying regardless of distance, regardless of any barriers, the singer and his brother will always be brothers, always connected through the earth and through their own memories.

I've been listening to this song for a while and i think in this song the composer is saying that he dreams of him and his brother under the sun whether that be his real brother or his closest friend he ha dreamed of walking alongside said brother in wide open prairies walking under the skies and sun but as his brother is leaving that dream isn't possible so then he says that whatever his brother sees or does the brother should think of him and know that forever they are one two spirits with their fates and destiny's are forever entwined.

i think the song is how no matter the differences, they will always be the same. "I had a dream - that we flew on golden wings And we were the same -just the same - you and I". and when the artist says, i had a dream that we were the same, probably means, they are totally different. he had a dream they were still the same despite their differences. I always took it as a racial way, as if one was black and one was white, and they were the same, and were brothers.
