Jubella Lyrics
You had such grace
[You had such grace]
In the end.
And I wish I could remember
[And I wish I could remember]
What colour
Your eyes were
[Your eyes were]
Every time, looked at you, my mind went blank
[Jubella]
You had the best damn Sunday dress
[You claimed to be the one]
At the end
[Who would bring down the stars]
Of the world.
[But as of yet I've seen nothing]
Of the world
The walls of flames
That consumed you
And everything
That was good and
Not with a bang, but a whimper
Except
[Except]
The dead
[The dead]
Flowers
[Flower you gave]
What would you do?
Arms spread welcoming
The impending nothing
Nothing nothing nothing
You had such grace
[You had such grace]
In the end.
I wish I could remember
[In the end]
What colour your eyes were
[In the end]
But everytime looked at you my mind
[You had such grace]
In the end.
And I wish I could remember
[And I wish I could remember]
What colour
Your eyes were
[Your eyes were]
Every time, looked at you, my mind went blank
You had the best damn Sunday dress
[You claimed to be the one]
At the end
[Who would bring down the stars]
Of the world.
[But as of yet I've seen nothing]
Of the world
That consumed you
And everything
That was good and
Not with a bang, but a whimper
[Except]
The dead
[The dead]
Flowers
[Flower you gave]
Arms spread welcoming
The impending nothing
Nothing nothing nothing
[You had such grace]
In the end.
I wish I could remember
[In the end]
What colour your eyes were
[In the end]

to me he is talking about the death of his love. he is admiring her as she is dying. pretty deep. by the way dallas green is singing : you had such grace, i wish i could remember, you eyes were...jubella you claim to be the one who will bring down the stars, but as of yet i've seen nothing...except the dead flower you gave, you had such grace, in the end, in the end.
"I wish I could remember what colour your eyes were but every time I looked at you my mind went blank"
I love that ling, it's amazing. alexis=great band.
a really good song even though it's only 2:29, and the lyrics are amazing, the song that got me into alexisonfire, but does anybody know what the name of the band means? At first i thougt if i split it up: Alexis-on-fire but now i think it could be Alex-is-on-fire. Either way this song rocks my sox
It's Alexis-On-Fire. Their named after the world's onle lactating contortionist porn star Alexis Fire. Her website is www.alexisonfire.com which is why their's is www.theonlybandever.com
They got into a bit of trouble from her when she found out they had used her website address for their name and she threatened to sue but it turned out that she hadn't copyrighted the name Alexisonfire so they were free to use it.
Plus on their website FAQs one of the questions is "Is it Alexis On Fire or Alex Is On Fire?" and the reply they've given is:
"What kind of a band name is Alex Is On Fire?!"
I cant believe theres only 4 comments on this song its an amazing song "except the dead flower you gave" i love that line I believe this song is about someone who died in a fire and he wants to remeber her but he always blanks out at every attempt and all he has left is the flower she gave him
I think this is one of Alexis' most underrated songs, it's great. To me, it's about being overwhelmed with love as the apocalypse befalls the world. Um, yeah.
I don't think there's just one meaning to this song. Songs are meant to be interpreted to fit your own life and your own mood.
To me this song is about how there's this one person that you tried so hard to get over, the one that broke your heart again and again. But everytime you see this person your mind just goes blank and you can only think of this person and they're all you see.
But that's just what I think
The band once stated that this song is actually about the end of the world. I remember hearing the name Jubella in the movie "From Hell", she was one of four women in hebrew lore who were executed.
This song is one of AOF's most underated songs. It took me a while to really appreciate it
I fixed the lyrics. They were right, just not the whole song.
This is such an underrated song. I'd have to say it's one of their best.
