Attached At The Hip Lyrics

failed attempts have turned us into one pathetic twisted wreck
all is eerie, you're standing near me
i feel you breathing down my neck

you don't need to be so shallow
turn your head prepare to follow

deep incision operation
the tortured one becoming two
involuntary, solitary
it's nice to have a point of view

dependency
separate we never will be
attached at the hip to me
seperate we never will be
when there's no privacy
seperate we'll never be seen attached at the hip to me
(attached at the hip to me, attached at the hip to me)
a part of my anatomy

you don't need to be so shallow
turn your head prepare to follow

have you ever seen another lying in a pool of blood?

separate we never will be
attached at the hip to me
seperate we never will be
when there's no privacy
seperate we'll never be seen attached at the hip to me
(attached at the hip to me, attached at the hip to me)
a part of my anatomy

The songs about a gun, not sure why people didn't come to this conclusion 23 years ago. I believe it’s about some guy who goes crazy and thinks his only friend is his firearm. The pool of blood line just makes it more obvious to me

Think it's obviously about drug and/or alcohol dependency.

This song always seems like its different from the rest on the IDR album to me, i cant explain why but its still brilliant Its obvious what its about, someone whos strongly dependant on another person and vice versa, metaphorical siamese twins

I like the way that Deron takes the saying "Attached at the hip" and thinks of it in physical terms. Like, what if someone actually was attached to you? And then there are the usual vague lyrics which one shouldn't attempt to translate, e.g. the first few lines and the bridge. I like this song a lot. I think it is different because it doesn't have that leading riff type hook that a lot of CKY songs have, such as '96...' or 'Sink into the Underground'. 'Sporadic Movement' also lacks that feature, but it makes a nice change once in a while.

this is sick, but i personally believe this song is about a guy who cuts off his manhood because he is angry about how shallow his sexual feelings are.
