Describes a hypothetical future world, with its alienation, tv screen enlighten a grey everyday life in a world where people will stop to think and just receive sensory input. An issue very common in Gothenburg dethsters' lyrics.

I believe he said at the show that this song is about mass media causing chaos and people believing everything they see on tv. Seems reasonable to me.

Amazing how they can hit so many topics with so few words. Dankey is certainly correct, as is Pallot. Ever read Fahrenheight 451? It's like mass media mind pollution (measly filth) used to ingrain (see it again and again) and program (spit it out again) so that people can no longer see what really goes on (focal degredation, block out all). People no longer truly live (escapism) and are isolated from the world (block out all) even in full daylight (amid the breaking of the light), what the author considers nightime (i.e., devoid of light, which I interpret to encompass enlightenment, joy, relationships) becomes people's "day"
