The Art Of American Football Lyrics
this song is absolutley unbelievable! the gfast riff that opens the song is awesome! The screaming is awesome! and the best thing is i kno these guys!
Something to do with television, control and illusion
the term tune in tune out (like my username and AIM name) is used for the trip u get while on acid. i think its comparing the illusions you get on acid to the ones tv is using to control americans, through thigns people get overly excited about- such as american football. superbowl party, my house, be there.
i donno if this posted twice, if so sorry. but what i was saying is that the term tune in tune out , drop in drop out is refered to the trip you get hwile on acid. i think the song is refereing the illusions u get while on acid, to the way TV controls americans through things like football. speaking of which, superbowl party anyone?
To be quite honest I think the whole 'Amercian Football' thing is used as a metaphor. I think the song seems to be about the current system we live in. Maybe the educational system. Just one of few amazing songs by FFAF before they went shit.
when i saw them at reading they said this was a romantic song, something about two people getting to gether just for kisses and sex, at the time they played it they got two people from the audience to kiss while they played the song.
In a Rock Sound interview Matt said the song was all about the education system and the control and corruption it serves to society! :)
one of the best bands off all time that you probably don't know about is American Football. i doubt funeral for a friend named their song after this band, but if they did, it would make funeral for a friend a million times more respectable.
there seems to be a lot of different stories behind this song. it probably doesn't mean anything.
Wow, and I bet none of you can give a reason why the education system is corrupt. Rebel without a cause, literally.
im sorry to tell the people who think the song has something to do with acid trips but it doesnt, it is actually about the education system
this system this lie
