this is the song where bjork whispers in your ear and tell s you how good the little sounds are.i like all the icelandic mumbling and funnny words at the end.its sort of sounds like shes saying 'a mofety a muffety moffety ickte ucktiy har fel luf aaaa,aaa hoota hoota', she sounds a bit like a little owl at the end.i love it.

The remix of this song on Telegram is eerie. It almost changes the context of the song from from ‘my headphones saved me’ to ‘I think my headphones are alive and going to eat me as I drift off to sleep’. I read that she wrote this one for a producer or mixer or someone else she worked with. I think it’s also about just how powerful music is.

Yea, I know what you mean. There was a remix that Tricky made of this song. It was awesome. The sounds were foreign and hard to stop listening to. Tricky did a nice job. Maybe the "Tape" is her friends voice in her head and the headphones are merely a figure of speech. Either way, it works in trying to say that someone is helping to soothe her at night and save her from herself.

I really love this song. I think a lot of people can relate to the lyrics and of course everyone can dig the sounds and rhythms. I tried to pick my favorite lines or words from the song but its to hard to pick. From "warm", "abstract wordless movements", "lulled", "resonance", "elevate", "interesting" to "saved my life". Basically I love it all because it reminds me that music is my solace in that it is a big part of who I am and what makes me happy.
