Who Would've Thought Lyrics

Who would've thought that dreams come true
Who would've thought i'd end up with you
Who would've thought what they said was true
But it was and you are light and darkness coming through

Sihlouettes of palm trees backing up against the sky
Echo park sunset, an ambulance drives by Someone went down,
and I wonder who
Someones fall coudda.... been anybody I know
So I drank like a fish till i crawl like a rat
In the city of shit i ended up on my back.
But I can't believe you're with me after dark
So let it come together in echo park

Who would've thought that dreams come true
Who would've thought i'd end up with you
Who would've thought what they said was true
But it was and you are light and darkness coming through

A red flag and your body wins Or a snake bite, gotta start again
So i'm fucked up and watching TV all day
I don't wanna see what ricky lake's gotta say
And it hits me when i'm alone, i'm an angry man
I start singing to myself i got dealt a shitty hand
With all these feelings my heart could explode
So is it not fear, no not at all So I said

Who would've thought that dreams come true
Who would've thought i'd end up with you
Who would've thought what they said was true
But it was and you are light and darkness coming through

Na na na......

Who would've thought that dreams come true
Who would've thought i'd end up with you
Who would've thought what they said was true
But it was and you are light and darkness coming through

You guys are all wrong. He's singing about stuff that happened when Op Ivy broke up...ten years before the album. It's about God. Most of the entire "Life Won't Wait" album was about God. Hence the "light in darkness coming through". Tim hates organized religion, but he talks about God like they're best friends...The Queers made fun of him for it in their song "Rancid Motherfucker", also released in 1998. Other songs on the album that support this theme include "The Wolf", "Bloodclot", and "Turntable". Never mind that the intro track would be just full of crap if all they were going to sing about was shitty love songs and the same old stuff we hate pop music for being. If this song's about a girl, then it doesn't make any sense!

This was written about Brody, Tims wife.

"Who would've thought that dreams come true Who would've thought i'd end up with you Who would've thought what they said was true But it was and you are light and darkness coming through "

Word was going around a girl(she was 17 when they got married BTW)wanted to Meet Tim and somehow at a show she got backstage and They ended up staying together(She was a hardcore druggie at this time, in 1997) But, its all changed now, they both have killer bands that rock.

Rancid/Distillers tour 2003 be on the lookout.
