Although you're an Ice King
Everything that you gave to me
Comes from the destitute and the torn
I can't live this life no more
Just another wasted on
Like a fallen star in Babylon
You said I was your princess baby
I told you certain things you can't possess
So let me go let me go
Cause I
[CHORUS]
I've given until I break
The ground beneath us quakes
How can we grow when we've only begun
Forsaken beneath the sun
Although I've seen your wickedness
I still love your effervesence
And I know that loving you dont't make no sense
But I guess that's why I like it
Just another priceless pawn
All our dreams are now forgone
You said I was your princess baby
I told you certain things you can't possess
So let me go let me go
[CHORUS]
I've given until I break
The ground beneath us quakes
How can we grow when we've only begun
Forsaken beneath the sun
Everything that you gave to me
Comes from the destitute and the torn
I can't live this life no more
Just another wasted on
Like a fallen star in Babylon
You said I was your princess baby
I told you certain things you can't possess
So let me go let me go
Cause I
I've given until I break
The ground beneath us quakes
How can we grow when we've only begun
Forsaken beneath the sun
Although I've seen your wickedness
I still love your effervesence
And I know that loving you dont't make no sense
But I guess that's why I like it
Just another priceless pawn
All our dreams are now forgone
You said I was your princess baby
I told you certain things you can't possess
So let me go let me go
I've given until I break
The ground beneath us quakes
How can we grow when we've only begun
Forsaken beneath the sun

to me this is about a relationship that blossomed too quickly ("how can we grow when we've only begun"), maybe before they really knew one another well enough, and then went sour once the infatuation was over. but, they're still holding onto each other for some reason, yearning for the way things were, although they know it's over.
It sounds like there's a reason why she doesn't want to love the guy..like he's bad for her or something, or together they are toxic.
This is about dating a drug dealer. ("Everything that you gave me comes from the destitute and the torn") The mix of praise & abuse is pretty much the same thing you see- it's a game of manipulation that despite the good parts, can only be bad for you in the long run.
