Just Can't Go To Sleep Lyrics
Don't you know,
I just can't go to sleep.
Oh momma don't you know,
I just can't go to sleep.
You told me go to bed hours ago but,
momma you know I just can't sleep
It's getting late,
I just can't close my eyes.
Well it's, getting so late,
I just can't close my eyes.
I'm so afraid if I close my eyes
I just won't see what's outside
You told me go to bed hours ago but,
momma I just can't sleep.....
I just can't go to sleep.
Oh momma don't you know,
I just can't go to sleep.
You told me go to bed hours ago but,
momma you know I just can't sleep
I just can't close my eyes.
Well it's, getting so late,
I just can't close my eyes.
I'm so afraid if I close my eyes
I just won't see what's outside
momma I just can't sleep.....

Oh, man, I feel like this so many nights. It's not fun.
This song is great. This song makes me think of how I fight sleep when I'm extremely tired. I always feel as though there is something more that I should be doing. Although sleep is a necessity, life is so wonderful that I just to don't want to miss a second of it..and just when I think of one more thing that I need/want to do, I've yawn fallen asleep....
This song reminds me of how I fight sleep when I'm extremely tired. It's like I'm always thinking of something else that I need to do. man this reminds me of how i spend everynight thinking is i fall asleep now ill get 4 hours of sleep, and hour later 3 hours, 2 and 1/2, 2 hours, 1 hour 45min, 1 and 1/2 hours.... its torture, good song tho
I clicked on this song because I love it, and only four people talked about it but I was reading the lyrics again and thinking maybe there's a deeper symbolism or something. Like it's not really about sleeping, but just about not seeing what's in front of you in the world. I love the lines "I'm so afraid if I close my eyes I just won't see what's outside" because it's like he's so interested and captivated by the world that he doesn't want to miss a moment of it
It really is just about going to sleep. It is off the bootleg Lullabies, a disc Jack and another unknown artist made around Christmas 1999 and passed around as a gift.
