If you don't know what song chours this is, it is "I Am My Own Worst Enemy", by Lit. it is a really great song, if you haven't heard it yet, check it out! Even if you have heard, still listen to it!:) But i don't know if Lit is a Christian band or not...
I think this song is from God's perspective. He's asking you
"Where did you go, how have you been?" because he wants to have that relationship with you, be your bestfriend. he's been with you through everything, best and worst. but ultimately its talking about how God may be the Captain but you're still the driver and you control your decisions but God guides you!
Oh, wow, I had no idea that this song was from a Christian band. Since I'm not spiritual in any sense of the word, I never made the connection to God.
To me, this song is about me and my best friend. Which I guess is the same as God, since God is supposed to be your best friend. :D
