Gonna Leave You Lyrics
Late alone
He can't help you
But I know I could
You know this is wrong
"Everything" scars the skin
Push it in, break it off
I'm gonna leave you
I stomped on your heart
This the is the end,
No more pictures, we ain't friends
It's raining in my room
There's blood in my spoon
You're out of my highchair
I'm out of your womb
I'm gonna leave you
You know this is wrong
Everything scars the skin
Push it in, push it in, break it off
Gonna leave you
I don't need you
"Three years too long You know this is wrong "Everything" scars the skin Push it in, break it off"
He's talking about putting the needle in his arm. I think the three years too long is the length of his addiction. Everything scars the skin. Push the needle in. Push down the plunger.
"I'm gonna leave I'm gonna leave you"
I'm gonna quit the heroin.
"I gave it a start I stomped on your heart This the is the end, No more pictures, we ain't friends It's raining in my room There's blood in my spoon You're out of my highchair I'm out of your womb"
I think the I gave it a start refers to his starting the drug. He's totally quitting her. There's blood in his spoon from the boiling heroin in the spoon.
"I'm gonna leave I don't need you " I don't need you to live happily.
Not certain of the full meaning, but "You're out of my highchair, I'm out of your womb" is a great way of saying "you're not my baby anymore, and I'm not yours".
when i first heard it i thought it was a baby in her womb speaking :P
first of all this songs is really cool i think its about a woman who is single and cant seem to find love and it cant seem to get feel better, maybe, anyway thats the mental picture im getting here.. oh and maybe the chourus us the words echoeing in here head.. ahh i dunno i just wrote somthing cause no one else did
it's one of nick's songs - or at least he sings it
maybe it is just about his decision to leave
anyway, nick's a big roky erickson fan, and roky's most famous song from his 13th floor elevators days is probably "you're gonna miss me" which deals with a similar subject
also shares a name with a led zep song - QOTSA are big fans
What songs on the new album "Songs For The Deaf" does Mark Lanegan sing on?
a song for the dead, hanging tree, god is in the radio
a heck of a song. this lyrics has a style so cruel and yet pretty way to say it's over.
one of, if not the best on the album such a good simple riff and the vocals are excellent.
