Shine A Light Lyrics

When I'm tired and all alone
Lord shine a light on me
And when I'm lonesome as can be
Lord shine a light on me

When I'm tired and all alone
Lord shine a light on me
And when I'm lonesome as can be
Lord shine a light on me

Lord shine a light on me
Lord shine a light on me
Lord shine a light on me

Ok, so this song is pretty simplistic (lyrically as well as musically). The lyrics are only in the first 3:10 of the song... the song is 7:17 long. This has nothing to do with anything... but... Do you notice how the music builds and builds and builds... layer by layer. It gets thicker and heavier... I've always thought this would be a good song for a movie, where the main character dies. This song (the end( is playing as he or she relives his or her entire life on screen. Would be totally cool!!

This song, I won't lie, this song messed me up. First commenter is right in that lyrics are simple and only in the beginning of the song. The lyrics themselves remind me of the poem "Footprints." Hello God? Little help through life please? Well that's a lot of what Jason sings about.

As for the rest of the song, it builds and builds and then it EXPLODES. The best way I can describe the music is representing an epiphany or revelation. For me at least words aren't sufficient.
