It's just like you to contest
Wear it like a label on your breast
Don't you see what this takes of me?

A certain callousness complies
With your charm and in your pride
A hopeful look draped in despise

I want to give you
Whatever you need
What is it you need?
Is it what I need?
I want to give you
Whatever you need
What is it you need?
Is it within me?

It's hard to explain
How I am getting by on so little from you
It's hard to believe
That I would let myself get so wrapped into you

There's gotta be something
That would be worthwhile for me to give to you
We need a connection
But you seem to push me far away from you
From you, from you

The harder I push
The further I fall
Well, you don't mind me being headstrong
But you don't want to sing along
Maybe it's trite but I can always
Always, always be wrong

I want to give you
Whatever you need
What is it you need?
Is it what I need?
I want to give you
Whatever you need
What is it you need?
Is it within me?

It's hard to explain
How I am getting by on so little from you
It's hard to believe
That I would let myself get so wrapped into you

There's gotta be something
That would be worthwhile for me to give to you
We need a connection
But you seem to push me far away from you
From you, from you

The harder I push
The further I fall
Well, you don't mind me being headstrong
But you don't want to sing along
Maybe it's trite but I can always
Always, always be wrong

Try not to be wrong

How does this song have anything to do with "Ender's Game"? I don't see the connection.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
