I think it's about people who hates their lives.. Adults with dead end jobs.. Stupid kids who suck at school.. The part when they say "don't say goodbye my friend" is probably about suicide.. Basically their trying to comfort these people and tell them they'll all be okay and that they shouldn't let the stress and frustration get to them..

i love the part in the song near the end, when he asks,

there's something eerie about it and calming at the same time.
It's telling people that if you look back on the life you've lived and aren't happy with it all you have to do is try and change the negative things you don't like about yourself and turn them into positives.
