How it happens, I don't care
If it's raining or what I wear
I know today is taking me were I'm meant to be

Doesn't matter where I go with my
Phoney jewels, or rock star phone

I'm waiting for a friend to call, or the rain to fall
Life goes by
Who knows why

[Chorus]
I can't wait for the world to spin
I can't wait to be happenin'
Oh, what's it gonna take
I can't wait for the time to come
When I'll be shining like the sun

I can't wait
(I can't wait)

Bum
Bum bum bum
Bum bum bum
Bum bum bum
Yeah

Everybody has their day
Where things just seem to go their way
An angel's gonna smile on me when I'm meant to be

Anything is possible no matter how incredible
You never know who I might meet on this crowded street

Life goes on
Like the sun

[Chorus]

I haven't got forever and I haven't got all day
Oh I don't want my world to stay the same
So where's that magic moment to carry me away

[Chorus]

I can't wait
I can't wait

First of all if this song sucks so bad why did you come here in the first place? The song is great and everyone who thinks it sucks must not have taste. Everyone is just jelous because they can't act or sing.

Did Duff write this herself? If so it's not really too terrible for a first attempt. She's waiting for something big to happen in her life...like falling in love maybe? Until then, she's just chilling out and taking life as it comes.
The song is pretty simple as far as vocal ability goes. I mean, I can sing it, lol. But still..it's her first try so people should cut her some slack.

If you don't think this song, it's clear that you shouldn't post here! Take the hint. I personally like it. I think it's cute for a first song.

i think hilary duff has talent and im not hating on you people who are talking crap on her but i think that the main reason nobody likes her is because of her t.v. show. i think that if she came out as a singer without her t.v. show she would be more accepted because her show is like a kids show and i think that is the reason most people wont take her seriously but i wish her luck and i think this song is a good start for her if she is hoping to pursue a career in music. she has an amazing voice.

Well she is hot... But this song does in fact suck, lyrically, and musically.

I'm sorry but there's so much artistic manipulation within this song, that's it's become the catchiest thing I've ever heard! Even just listening to it once I get it stuck in my head. Sure she's not a good singer, sure the lyrically challenged with a deep meaning, but hey it sure beats the junk dished out by most rap artists. I said MOST so all rap fans, don't beat me up yet....it's just about waiting for their time in the sun to come, but it's so damn catchy that whenever I hear it I can't help but sing along. It's also really easy to sing. The show, however, is actually pretty good. :) Call me one of those teenaged "closet fans". It's good stuff, hard to believe I'm actually saying this about this song....oh well.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
