Sorry Lyrics
Well I'm sorry `bout the weather
And I'm sorry that the drive was much too far
Seems like everything is business
And we're sorry all the time
When we're home (All alone)
What is home? (On your own)
Home is home (All Alone)
Where we love the weather
Are you sorry that you love me?
Am I sorry I love you too?
Seems it doesn't make a difference
That we're sorry all the time
When we're home (All alone)
What is home? (On your own)
Home is home (All Alone)
Where we love the weather
All alone (What is home?)
On my own (What is home?)
All alone (Home is home)
And I love the weather
And I'm sorry that the drive was much too far
Seems like everything is business
And we're sorry all the time
What is home? (On your own)
Home is home (All Alone)
Where we love the weather
Am I sorry I love you too?
Seems it doesn't make a difference
That we're sorry all the time
What is home? (On your own)
Home is home (All Alone)
Where we love the weather
On my own (What is home?)
All alone (Home is home)
And I love the weather

In his book Black Postacards, Dean Wareham says that drummer Damon Krukowski wrote this one. I wonder if any other G500 songs were written by Damon or Naomi?
Anyway, it's a beautiful song, which I know now is about the sad state of Dean's friendship with his bandmates, Damon and Naomi.
@leamanc I figured it was about a deteriorating relationship and it makes sense it's about the band. It's too bad they couldn't just be friends, they made such great and unique music together.

Damon on this song -
Dean's attitude was horrendous at that point-- "I can't be bothered," was his catch phrase; he applied it to everything from lunch to overdubs. I even had to finish one of his lyrics for him; he'd run out of them and seemed to have stopped trying. All he had left was this line, "I'm sorry about your goldfish," and here we had this lovely tune already down on tape ["Sorry"], going to waste. I thought, well I know what I'm sorry about, so I wrote it on that theme and gave it to him.
@matt0009 I'm glad Damon helped finish it, this is a great song. Sometimes good art comes from suffering (though this is small comfort to the sufferer!)

Lets stop making apologies, and let things happen. The only true sense of home is inside you even if it is lonley sometimes.
