everytime i turn on the fucking television
i see someone who is paid to tell me what
i need to be happy or a success
i see families who create and solve problems
in 25 or less minutes and its no wonder
so many kids are trapped in sitcoms
trying to figure out what is wrong with their families
but these kids aren't given any answers
just standards they can't live up to
and so we wonder where peoples self esteem goes

this is my favorite jffb song.
its hard to explain why this song resonates with me...I guess its because I've always been heavily influenced by books, movies, and even tv shows to some extent... My basis of comparison growing up was not my mother or father or anything, it was my idols from various media, who are all perfectly crafted and polished to be role models. Anyway I get a lot of satisfaction from these lyrics. It's kind of a wierd thing to be hurt by, but I guess it might be valid.
pretty straight forward song first things that comes to mind is "7th heaven" which makes me wanna hurt myself nevertheless, amazing song, the intro is up there with the intro to "tigersuit"
