Pretty Soon, I Don't Know What, But Something Is Going To Happen Lyrics
Time can kill the greatest of men,
Even the strongest find themselves on the floor,
It doesn't have to be this way.
Time keeps going on and on.
Fragile time cannot waste away,
Fragile time can't be laid to rest,
Fragile time can lead you to the grave,
Fragile time can start eternity.
It kills their walk,
I watch them wash away.
It's all worth while,
And time goes on and on.
Even the strongest find themselves on the floor,
It doesn't have to be this way.
Fragile time can't be laid to rest,
Fragile time can lead you to the grave,
Fragile time can start eternity.
I watch them wash away.
And time goes on and on.

God bless Norma Jean.
16 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its stupidly long for a hardcore song, but that is by no means a bad thing, and its great :D
I think the reason the song is o long is to emphasize the lyrics. We waste so much of our 3 and a half score years here. Your view of time is dependant on your outlook on the afterlife, really. Timewasters kill their walk and wash away with the rest of the 6 billion or so sheep. Lets not waste time, heaven knows i do and i need to change. Time goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and................
i dont know but nothing ever really happned
I love the spoken part in this. It adds a nice little bit to the song... surrounded by the echoes of the guitars and the rhythm of the drums, it really just inspires me to think of various ways to relate that little spoken part to life. Maybe I'm just strange like that. Either way, I love this song. the length adds such emphasis, just like thegeneralschtan said.
about not only how we waste time, but how if we start living appropriately, we can achieve great things for the kingdom of God ("OR fragile time can start eternity").
I agree. I think the length adds a lot of emphasis to the song itself and I love every part musically, and it has a nice build up to the vocal part which adds even more meaning to the song...I love Norma Jean.
In their previous site at hxc.com/normajean, they used as intro: The interlude of this song along with a line from the movie ''The star of Pi'' -'When I was a little boy my mother told me not to stare into the sun'...
This song is about how you shouldn't take time for granted. Time is short, so you sould live it to the fullest.
This is easily one of my fave NJ songs. AWESOME.
