Say I'm Sorry Lyrics
As I sit in this coffee shop
half way through your note I had to stop
right near, the end, the letter said
Maybe when I leave i'll lead a life less empty
Maybe we were waiting way too long to end this soap opera story
you'll accept just half of all these consequences
maybe then that's when i'll finally say i'm sorry
Why did'nt you, why didn't I, why couldn't we, I wonder why
She called me up the other day
and thank god I knew exactly what to say
you left me with this note and I quote, from the note you wrote
Maybe when I leave i'll lead a life less empty
Maybe we were waiting way too long to end this soap opera story
you'll accept just half of all these consequences
maybe then that's when i'll finally say i'm sorry
Why did'nt you, why didn't I, why couldn't we, I wonder why

This is they're best song by far. it has so much raw emotion and you can really feel what the song is about
When I first heard this song I was in a Dunken Donouts getting coffee. I love this song!!!!! It has a meaning for me as I had just broken up with my girlfriend a few days before. And if I had just said sorry for all the things I've done wrong, I could have kept on to her.
The song speaks for itself...So all I'll say is that this is Theory of a Deadman's best song by far...and they need to make another cd and soon
Wow, I just heard this song for the first time the other day. I think it's about both of them making mistakes and not realizing them till it's too late. I really love this song and although it's not their best(I would go with Santa Monica) it's one their best.
Great fucking band.
I think that the line in the first verse is "Right near, the end, the letter read." Not said, just my opinion though.
"You'll accept just half of all of these consequences"
That's the part that seems fair to me.
When people who have hurt each other can say "I'm sorry" to each others faces. And truly forgive. That seems to bring the healthiest closure in life.
Then, normally... at least for me... people can move on in a positive way. I just LOVE it when people aren't "into" revenge! It CAN make the world a better place!!! We'll see......
Lyrics are self-explanatory. Thanks Estel for the song. Skip the "I'm sorry." The song really does sum up many odd ball "relationships." Goodnight peeps.
