Is anyone else awake?
Deaf ears on these words must fall.

Dodging friendly fire,
Which marksmanship inspires.

The end that is never the end.
There's no difference between foe or friend.
With blanks in the chamber,
They'd have you believe.
Faces so sober,
Trusting souls deceived.

Mouthless children,
Still promises they feed.
Bullets softer now,
But still we bleed.

The end that is never the end.
There's no difference between foe or friend.
With blanks in the chamber,
They'd have you believe.
Faces so sober,
Trusting souls deceived.

The megaphone speaks.
Still pulses race and scream.
Things will be quiet soon.

The end that is never the end.
There's no difference between foe or friend.
With blanks in the chamber,
They'd have you believe.
Faces so sober,
Trusting souls deceived.

General Comment"The End" is a voice of dissapointment with a generation. His peers can't see how they bring each other down and thus receive no respect amoung older generations. They do not stand for anything. The song is yearning for approx. 22-35 year olds to ban together and better the world.

The last Woodstock would be an example of the targeted generation being senseless.
