The End Lyrics

Is anyone else awake
deaf ears on these words must fall
dodging friendly fire
marksmanship inspires
the end that is never the end
there's no difference between foe or friend
blanks in the chamber
they'll have you believe faces so sober
trusting souls deceived mouthless children
still promises they feed bullets softer now
still we bleed
the megaphone speaks
still pulses race and scream things will be quiet soon

this song really reached me on many different levels i think it is about someone feeling lonely and unheared like his world is against him and it feels like everyone no matter who they are is against him and is ppretending not to be, it's a song of obvious contradictions and a strong message and i love it

"The End" is a voice of dissapointment with a generation. His peers can't see how they bring each other down and thus receive no respect amoung older generations. They do not stand for anything. The song is yearning for approx. 22-35 year olds to ban together and better the world.

The last Woodstock would be an example of the targeted generation being senseless.

If we continue on as a society being apathetic to the world around us and those around us we'll continue down a road to darkness. Only by understanding and speaking up about what we believe and what we want to change in the world. Let's face it... We've been brought up in a time of senseless crime and international instability. Make your voice heard or you will give up your right to represent yourself.

u guys may be right, but i see it as a political song. i view it how the govt really takes advantage of us and how no matter how hard we try we cant change it. like this is almost the end of freedom. even though id like to think its more of a relationship ending the lyrics lead to politics
