They're Winning Lyrics
They're winning
I know it's not fair, but what is?
I'm giving up hope.
I've stood in line so many times.
How could I do it all again?
They're starting
To run out of steam,
Fall to their knees.
The headaches and worries
And crying and bills to pay,
How could they keep it up so long?
I know it's not fair, but what is?
I'm giving up hope.
I've stood in line so many times.
How could I do it all again?
To run out of steam,
Fall to their knees.
And crying and bills to pay,
How could they keep it up so long?

A few corrections: "...the headaches and worries and crying...." I don't know about that "in bills to pay" line. It seems out of place, but it's hard to tell.
A great song when they play it live.
I thought it was ... We're starting To run out of steam Fall to our knees With our headaches And wounds And crying And bills to pay How can they keep it up so long?"
Favorite Walkmen song. Reminded me of Velvet Underground immediately.
Sounds to me like:
We're starting To run out of steam Fall to our knees The headaches And worries And crying And bills to pay How could they keep it up so long?"
Nudesooner has it on the money.
