And the meek shall inherit the earth
We've taken care of everything
The words you hear the songs you sing
The pictures that give pleasure to your eyes

It's one for all and all for one
We work together common sons
Never need to wonder how or why

We are the priests, of the temples of Syrinx
Our great computers fill the hallowed halls
We are the priests, of the temples of Syrinx
All the gifts of life are held within our walls

Look around this world we made
Equality our stock in trade
Come and join the brotherhood of man
Oh, what a nice contented world
Let the banners be unfurled
Hold the red star proudly high in hand

We are the priests, of the temples of Syrinx
Our great computers fill the hallowed halls
We are the priests, of the temples of Syrinx
All the gifts of life are held within our walls

What can this strange device be?
When I touch it, it gives forth a sound
It's got wires that vibrate and give music
What can this thing be that I found?

See how it sings like a sad heart
And joyously screams out its pain
Sounds that build high like a mountain
Or notes that fall gently like rain

I can't wait to share this new wonder
The people will all see its light
Let them all make their own music
Priests praise my name on this night

I know it's most unusual
To come before you so
But I've found an ancient miracle
I thought that you should know

Listen to my music
And hear what it can do
There's something here as strong as life
I know that it will reach you

Yes, we know it's nothing new
It's just a waste of time
We have no need for ancient ways
The world is doing fine

Another toy will help destroy
The elder race of man
Forget about your silly whim
It doesn't fit the plan

No
I can't believe you're saying
These things just can't be true
Our world could use this beauty
Just think what we might do

Listen to my music
And hear what it can do
There's something here that's as strong as life
I know that it will reach you

Don't annoy us further
Oh, we have our work to do
Just think about the average
What use have they for you?

Another toy will help destroy
The elder race of man
Forget about your silly whim
It doesn't fit the plan

I wandered home though silent streets
And fell into a fitful sleep
Escape to realms beyond the night
Dream, can't you show me the light?

I stand atop a spiral stair
An oracle confronts me there
He leads me on light years away
Through astral nights, galactic days

I see the works of gifted hands
That grace this strange and wondrous land
I see the hand of man arise
With hungry mind and open eyes

They left the planets long ago
The elder race still learn and grow
Their power grows with purpose strong
To claim the home where they belong
Home, to tear the temples down
Home, to change

The sleep is still in my eyes
The dream is still in my head
I heave a sigh and sadly smile
And lie a while in bed
I wish that it might come to pass
Not fade like all my dreams

Just think of what my life might be
In a world like I have seen
I don't think I can carry on
Carry on this cold and empty life
Oh, no

My spirits are low in the depths of despair
My lifeblood spills over

Attention all planets of the solar federation
Attention all planets of the solar federation
Attention all planets of the solar federation
We have assumed control
We have assumed control
We have assumed control

Oh yeah, just to completely clear, the overture is being a little sarcastic with the "meek shall..." part, as the overture is the parallel not to har-mageddon (Rev 16:16), but to the great tribulation/distress/collapse precedding it (Daniel 12, Mathew 24), brought on by, you guessed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The illuminati!!! yeah, for all you conspiracy buffs out there, and you daVinci Code sauce converts, the news is, it aint a conspiracy!!!! Nope, it's done in broad daylight!!!! Not a big, hidden cabal, just a grasp at sitting an ass on the throne of God himself, ok so now you have the???? TEMPLES of SYRINX!!! you know it's human because they say, "our great computers, fill the hallowed halls", unfortunately the Entity Union destined to land on our planet, they are perfect computers of light and energy in pact and dedication to the Universal Creator, and the First Power. Hence, you have guessed it!!!!! the "all planets of the solar federation" buddy, that's the end of the priests, you won't even find enough grizzle-n-grease to feed a coyote pup. So the code, like mick jagger said, but whats puzzlin you, is the nature of my game" but the Rob Plant says, "all will be revealed" speaking of the "elders of a () race""not a word i heard could i relate, though the story is quite clear... all will be revealed" well folks, the priests, the elders, that whole gamut of prisoners of space and time, all the parallels across human history, biblical history, blackmagic history, actual events, it is clearly seen now, so "the nature of the game" of the devil in sympathy, is the umbrella that the activities of a sysmbolism of the priests of sysrinx, are merely a CONTROLLED part of. so, the overture was the end of geddy's character's world, the imposition of a technoloving priesthood, the squelching of the exuberance and passion of the discovery, amidst the character seeing the potential of music, "see how it sings like a sad heart and JOY....", well the priests want no part, thay crush to destroy, the life blood, spills over- but hey it's your oracle- showing you things of the future, so in a deathlike state, the grand finale begins. The grand finale, is the priests harmageddon, but the parallel, which to say any artist wether ayn rand or peart, are from visions that are just a little too universal, to just be foundationless fantasy science fiction- everything has extra meaning in all the layers of sub-consciousness anf just how we create, by inspirations - "a planet of playthings, we dance on the strings of powers we can't percieve....

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
