On Reflection Lyrics
he steps away from his car with a song. he was wrong. he should have known all along. with wary eyes and uncertain grin. fall out. i saved your voice. trouble. that outstretched hand you had to shake. you sell out. you could have had your choice. but broke away the turnstile. fall out. your friends are toys. in time. that outstretched hands you had to shake. will sell you out. and leave your wreck

A catchy drum line that starts out the song, a guitar riff so hopeful sounding that it almost makes you forget that is has lyrics of a person's shoes that almost all of us could fit into so very easily.
This song is very catchy and awesome. The band is amazing
Yeah, xsomepunkx, this band really pales in comparison to cool bands like the virus and the unseen, right?
You ass.. I can't believe I wasted my time responding to that.
This song is incredible. So intense, yet so relaxing at the same time. The lyrics don't do much for me though.
i could listen to this band for hours...but i've done that routine before. i think i'll do it again. mmmm..
Hey, XsomepunkX (original...you know..with the "x's" and all...) I hate my sister too, man!! We should hang out sometime and listen to the Misfits and just break stuff for the hell of it!!! We could also tear holes in our jeans and watch Suburbia like 25 times in a row with a bottle of Southern Comfort!! Bitchin, dude.... You hate your parents too? And society? And the Government? We're like TWINS!
this is off of one of my favorite album sets, what a way to start it all off, too. with "Waking..." and this song. For a guy whose favorite band is Queen, and has few discs past 1991, this band I love.
I agree with Italian Phaethon... perfect way to kick off probably my favorite album set of all time.
To me, the car is symbolic of a relationship, not necessarily a love interest, but probably a close friendship. The trust is there and he's just cruisin along with it, when suddenly the whole relationship crashes and burns. The middle of the song refers to this, how if you're not careful people will take advantage of you. You have to be cautious with other people, because you never know who is gonna be there for you when it matters. The last line and the first line refer to the car symbolism, how the relationship was wrecked. He was in the driver seat, and he can't help but feel that he could have done something to save it. As he walks away, confused and shaken, I think he realizes that it's not entirely his fault, and that in the future he should know to be more cautious with his trust. Hence, "He steps away from his car...with wary eyes and uncertain grin."
Just my interpretation, it's probably alot deeper than that. I'm probably way off on the meaning, but I know I'm right on the money when I say that this is a beautiful song and it represents some of this amazing band's best work.
it's like clouds roll in at 1:49 but then at 2:47 they break and the sun comes out again
This song is so amazing to listen to. The guitar riff is untouchable and the drumming is impressive. When the singing kicks in i get goosebumps.
