Pull My Hair Lyrics
Or is it still newly wed?
If all this heat is doing is making us stick to the bed
Then there is no life to revive
But if the hunger is still there, buried somewhere inside
Covered up by the boredom we’ve been trying to hide
Then dig it up and devour
And it will be more like a song and less like it's math
If you pull on my hair, and bite me like that
And the truth is that I can’t hardly wait
And I don’t care if we stay up too late
Don’t answer the phone
Don’t answer the phone
And it will be more like a song and less like it's math
If you pull on my hair and bite me like that
And the truth is that I can’t hardly wait
It itches so bad that I can’t concentrate
Don’t answer the phone
Don’t answer the phone
And it will be more like a song and less like it's math
If you pull on hair and bite me like that

The most amazing thing about this song is that he wrote it when he was 17 years old. Conor Oberst was already having enough sex at 17 years old to write a song, more or less complaining that it wasn't exciting enough. Jesus.

Hmmm... I have a math exam tomorrow, which i should be studying for now.. but insteadi'm here... Bright Eyes will see me through!

I absolutely adore this song.

This song is unnaturally good. Why unnatural? Well by all accounts it shouldn't be good, but the totally over-the-top drums, the distant vocals, the echoes of Neely, and the eccentric yet forceful lyrics all combine to create something superb, and so listenable, you can't help but move with this song, and it's anticipatory nature. "And the truth is I can hardly wait, I don't care if we stay up too late." Great line.

"It itches so bad that I can't concentrate". I love that line. Getting horny, it's a wonderful thing.

I agree with Diskettes

I agree with diskettes

haha... damn. i love it.

oh yea... and the whole "musical allusion" to the whip in the background just completely completes the song.
