You fell to the ground like rain
On deaf ears your cries met hands And knees were blistered
Shouting from the tallest tree
You declared wrong
But they never listen
There’s safety in numbers
This cold-hearted world!
The Coldest Winter...
You don’t see me like I know you
Hiding behind glass
So sickened by grief
You can’t let them win
They’ll have you
Playing life makes death so good
This cold-hearted world!
The Coldest Winter...
You don’t know, And you never will!
On deaf ears your cries met hands And knees were blistered
Shouting from the tallest tree
You declared wrong
But they never listen
There’s safety in numbers
This cold-hearted world!
The Coldest Winter...
You don’t see me like I know you
Hiding behind glass
So sickened by grief
You can’t let them win
They’ll have you
Playing life makes death so good
This cold-hearted world!
The Coldest Winter...
You don’t know, And you never will!

Hey I reckon it's about a guy (or girl, either one) that's gettin bullied or beaten up or something similar, and Morgan's watching this all from afar. Please tell me different lol it's just how I interpret the song:
"You fell to the ground like rain" Either he fell emotionally or physically "On deaf ears your cries met, hands and knees were blistered" He tried to be one of 'the group' but they didn't care "Shouting from the tallest tree, you declared wrong" He tells them all that they're wrong and he doesn't deserve this treatment "But they never listen - there’s safety in numbers" They all group together to pick on him cos it doesn't make them feel so cowardly "This cold-hearted world! The Coldest Winter..." The world is cold and cruel to the guy that's gettin bullied
"You don’t see me like I know you" The one being bullied doesn't see Morgan looking on but she feel she knows him already "Hiding behind glass, so sickened by grief" She's hiding and feel sick with grief that this is happening "You can’t let them win - they’ll have you" She's saying to him not to give up and show too much weakness cos if he does, they'll get him again "Playing life makes death so good" The fact the bullies are playing with his mind makes him feel like he'd be better off dead
"You don’t know, and you never will!" They don't know she's watching, and when she gets back at them they won't know what's hit them
This song is SO beautiful. I'm gonna take a blind guess, right on the spot. uhhhmm... You somehow fall, or something in your life goes wrong, and you're really hurt (physically or mentally or both) And you cry for help, but no one will listen to you. So you hide your feelings after a while, and you bottle it up inside you (hiding behind glass). You can't let that get you down, or else the worst will happen. All of those feelings you've kept inside you will make you want death to come. And the "cold winter" It just means that you feel cold and alone. I guess? lol ... This is probably my favorite song as of now
it's:
"Playing life, makes death, so fun". not "good". says so in the book off the Oracle CD. i love the writing on that album too, lol. but ya, i agree on the meanings :)
I think it's about just the cold-hearted things in the world. Just being on your own, shouting out for help but no one's listening. It's also about being one against many...probably, hehe.
By the way, when they go "the coldest winter" Morgan is singing in the background: "Couldn't hear it, could you see me?"
So the whole thing goes: "The coldest winter...(couldn't hear it, could you see me?)"
Will somebody, ANYBODY, tell me what this song is about? I'd really appreciate it. :)
