I LOVE THIS SONG...this is one of my favorite staind songs...this song relates to me in a big way...depression strikes deep in the heart...self hatred is all you hear...all you see is the same 4 walls...thats all you can stand and cant stand at the same time...

this is one of my favorite staind songs...reading the lyrics and hearing the song, you can't compare. he puts so emotion into the words. this so i can relate to. he tells the story of her leaving and all he has left is the same 4 walls.

This song is about being a heroin addict. He says "Same for walls". If you have ever talked to someone who has done heroin, when they are on the drug they just lay in the same room the whole time. It feels so good that they don't even bother opening their eyes. they just lay in the same spot in the same room. All the want is more heroin. He mentions the needle, and he says "smell the stench as shit runs down my leg". When on heroin, one doesn't even bother going to the bathroom. He is talking about a heroin binge, so he just lays their, going to the bathroom.

This song is so good that it makes me feel like shit whenever I listen to it. Almost like what he is saying applies to me, but it doesn't really. It's so fucking weird. This song is awesome.

Just as a side not, the lyrics for this song were actually written by Mike Mushok and not Aaron Lewis.

This song appears to be about a person who addresses another, but he is actually talking to himself. He can’t stand his way of life and feels he has nothing left to offer, so he wants to take his own life. Throughout the song, he is implying that he needs help and begs for sanity. He is so depressed that he states, “There’s nothing left for me” and a gunshot is heard at the end of the song, which makes it appear as though he just committed suicide.

After about ten minutes, a “hidden track” begins with sounds of organ music, and people are moving around and coughing in a large church. The occasion is a funeral. Selections from the Scriptures and a funeral prayer to the gathered living are read. After that, the speaking becomes incomprehensible and demonic sounding voices. I think this indicates the suicide victim’s descent into hell.

I think htis song is a suicide note. he's telling himself that his life is meaningless and basically trying to talk himself into pulling the trigger.

the first part where he always says same 4 walls meanings he is trying to change his life and get to a better place in it but he cant and he just keeps coming back to the same place of depression and hatred for himself

megamadnan had an interesting point i never thought about that might be why the song is scratched. It is a common, not really grounded , but a common belief that if you commit suicide you go to hell. Me personally i thought the song was garbled like that because to signify the lack of faith in religion. obviously lack of faith in anything if you've lost the will to live.
