Play God Lyrics
Trying to understand
How someone like you can sleep at night
Or are you too busy playing god
To fuckers that are chewing on your lies
Another loser born?
Fed on my fragile mind
Still I stood up on my broken knees
'cause everything that you took
Gave me immunity to your disease
Another life is torn?
I won't hear, I won't see
I will never be a part of your cause
'cause I'm alive and I still breathe
And your just a fucking waste of
Time, what you tried to offer me
Was it really worth it?
Sew up this hole inside of me
'cause you'll never take it
I don't fear what you are
Because you're only dangerous to what is weak
Clinging to the stories you create
You make a living off of souls that bleed
Another dotted line
I won't hear, I won't see
I will never be a part of your cause
'cause I'm alive and I still breathe
And your just a fucking waste of
Time, what you tried to offer me
Was it really worth it?
Sew up this hole inside of me
'cause you'll never take it
I'm becoming of nothing
This is what you started
Time, what you tried to offer me
Was it really worth it?
Sew up this hole inside of me
'cause you'll never take it
Never take it
How someone like you can sleep at night
Or are you too busy playing god
To fuckers that are chewing on your lies
Another loser born?
Fed on my fragile mind
Still I stood up on my broken knees
'cause everything that you took
Gave me immunity to your disease
Another life is torn?
I won't hear, I won't see
I will never be a part of your cause
'cause I'm alive and I still breathe
And your just a fucking waste of

Sew up this hole inside of me

'cause you'll never take it

This is what you started
Time, what you tried to offer me
Was it really worth it?
Sew up this hole inside of me
'cause you'll never take it
Never take it

i think this song is saying how there record company fucks them over.
I like this fuckin' song. I think it's about a guy who loves this chick and she is confused and fucked up in the head and she fucks him up completely just cuz she doesn't know what she wants and he knows exactly what he wants ya know? -Heaven Leigh
mason man i totally feel ya, i think this songs just about that typa thing. a girl, completely FUCKEd in the head, and this guy really loves her but she's just fuckin him up, but he's gotta be strong, because "sow up this hole inside of me, cuz you'll never take it"
I don't know if I would say this is necessarily about a woman so much as that he sees someone hurling lies and people believing them but he sees through it. At first he fell to these lies but eventually he saw the reality and is now hell bent on making the liar fall. Rather the liar be a woman (a siren) or a man.
It's quite obvious from the lyrics that this is about someone who has screwed over the life of him. Aside from that however, from the song title (Play God) I think that it may more specifically have to do with some sort of figure that either tried to control his life in a damaging way or possibly manipulated others around him.
i agree with you seizure
Can we say, parental angst?
i think this song is about scientists who can create babies in test tubes. "Dangerous to what is weak" like embryos and altering genes and such. Trying to understand how someone who does that can live with themselves, playing god creating life in labs. "another loser born" He'll never be a part of their cause. Its freaky
For some reason, the first thing I think of when I hear this song is Rev. Jim Jones and the Peoples Temple/Jonestown. Seems quite fitting if you know anything about it. While there were only a handful of survivors, I could see this being written from their point of view. eh, who knows? Just some food for thought.
