Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
Lets me see.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
Drawn beyond the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
Feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines.

Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
Lets me see there is so much more
And beckons me to look through to these infinite possibilities.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
Drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.

Feed my will to feel this moment urging me to cross the line.
Reaching out to embrace the random.
Reaching out to embrace whatever may come.

Come embrace my desire to, come embrace my desire to,
Feel the rhythm, to feel connected
Enough to step aside and weep like a widow
To feel inspired, to fathom the power,
To witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain,
To swing on the spiral, to swing on the spiral, swing on the spiral.
Of our divinity and still be a human.

With my feet upon the ground I lose myself
Between the sounds and open wide to suck it in,
I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out,
I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.

Spiral out. Keep going, going

this is a very very beautiful song, because it actually has quite a few meanings that i learned about upon reading many different spiritual texts and through personal experience. I've read a lot of comments about lateral thinking and intuition and that is very true, also in practicing magic and witchcraft you rely mostly on intuition and what "feels right" so to speak so thats why you should try not to lose touch with that side of your mind because you will miss many opportunities and wont understand or see many spiritual messages sent to you that could really help you with big problems or trials in your life. also though, the seeing certain colors, is describing word for word how you begin seeing things during a self-induced out of body experience or astral projection which alot of people practice as a way to connect with the divinity. i know that is what he is talking about because i experienced it first hand just last night lol. and the spiritual messages in Maynards lyrics are very apparent, whether or not he practices "witch craft" or any other form of "magic" (for lack of a better word, because i hate the term as the laws of it follow a lot of the same laws of physics but just fill in a few gaps that modern science has yet to figure out completely) is a mystery to me but either way he, or perhaps whoever rights a lot of their lyrics, seems to know and awful lot about the practices
