Unlisted Track Lyrics
You can't sell me incense
My world smells good enough to eat
So let's not eat, just smell the good and longing
Not owning
We'll circle like insects
Incensing the grieve liquored herd
Have you heard an encouraging word from them
They pretend
To be so above it all
Or so they would have you think
I think, no one thinks at all
You might show some interest
Your world looks good enough to eat
I see the ghost of a better world
Living in the disbelief in ghosts
Everyone tells me they're crazy
Crazy people aren't so fucking boring
Wake me when your through being cool, cause I'm snoring
And hoping
To see you beside yourself
Show me the rose stuff of you
Would you
Do it for yourself
Or for me
We both need a change
Your fear of normalcy is hardly strange
Let's be freaks, plain clothes police
Let's be deliberate, because it's obvious to me
Deliberately weird is pretty obvious
So color me obvious
I just want to be happy half the time
And blue only when I have the time
Actually I'm pretty sure it is 'Show me the raw stuff of youth' not 'rose stuff of you.'
wow. i guess i'm the first.
it's a good song.
i love these lyrics.
"Everyone tells me they're crazy Well crazy people aren't so fucking boring"
That's about Billie Joe Armstrong. Him and Chris (bassist for Jawbreaker) we're hanging out and Billie was most likely high, and he said, "I'm fucking crazy!" so Chris wrote that part of the song based on that, it's kind of in response to Blakes disdain towards Green Day.
"I see he ghost of a better world Living in the disbelief in ghosts"

i think this refers to reason v. religeon and that is hard to argue. However I feel that (sadly) he has resolved that it is futile. ledgendary lyric

taken directly: who hasn't felt this many times? but there is folly here too. I think if you care enough to put time into quiet, covert, and tireless observation of a person, you will see things about a person that they likely will never see in themselves. I like this lyric because it begs to ask why do we bother to scrutinize someone. To deconstruct and understand is obvious. What I want to know is it done with an underlying negative or positive motive. Could be universal, but in this instance I think there is an actual subject in mind. I deduce a female subject and its decidedly negative to the point of contempt. i.e. If she could see herself right now, what a fool she is making of herself.
The grammar in these lyrics... fucking awful.
