A Hole in the Wall Lyrics

When I have to die then
I want to strangle myself in your black hair
And when I have to die then
I want to suffocate between your sweet breasts
And when I have to die then
I want to be blinded by your brown eyes
And when I have to die then
I want to cut my veins on your lips
I have not yet learned enough
My hands in chains
The brain - a hole in the wall

A hole in the wall

So what
I am never going to die

And when I have to die then
I want to starve in your lap
And when I have to die then
I want to burn in your bed
And when I have to die then
I want to drown in your heat
And when I have to die then
I want to be poisoned by your blood
And when I have to die then
I want to melt away from your kiss
And then when I am dead
Bury me close to your heart

Close to your heart

I have not yet learned enough
My hands in chains
The brain - a hole in the wall

A hole in the wall

Close to your heart

Such an awesome song...the lyrics speak very blatantly toward what the song is about. Listen to the song...it's great.

IIRC, this is an English version of "Liebeslied". I really like the guitar intro.

This song is about an encounter with a dominatrix. Now that is hot!

I think its about wanting to become one with somebody, just for one evening. and by tommorow the feeling will fade away, leaving emptiness and a whole in the wall

This is a beautiful love song. I believe "Liebeslied" means "Love Song" in German. Now I believe that not all song lyrics actually have hidden meanings. And this one doesn't really need one because it is cool enough as is. But IN MY OPINION - "to die" could mean to have a sexual orgasm as Shakespeare had used it. Think about it that way for a second. Any other OPINIONS on possible allusions or metaphors and what-have-you?

Personally, I always thought this song was about gloryholes.

TurkishTerror, you may be on to something. To me, this song is pretty much one-layered except for the "to die" part, which could have a double-meaning. Either way, it's one hell of a great song with amazing music. KMFDM will never stop.

Liebesleid also translates to "physical pain"

When I first heard this song I thought it was about a stalker looking at a woman through "a hole in the wall" fantasizing about what he wants to do with her.
