Deep Inside of You Lyrics
Thoughts free flow, you said you've got something
Deep inside of you
A wind chime voice sounds, sway of your hips round rings true
It goes deep inside of you
These secret garden beams
Changed my life so it seems
Fall breeze blows outside, I don't break stride
My thoughts are warm
And they go deep inside of you
All right, oh, oh, 'til I met you
Deep inside of you
Slide of her dress, shouts in darkness, I'm so alive
I'm deep inside of you
You said, boy make girl feel good
'Til I met you
I'm all right on my own
And then I met you
And I'd know what to do if I just knew what's coming
I'd walk with my people if I could find them
And I'd say that I'm sorry to you
I'm sorry to you
And I don't wanna call you
But then I wanna call you 'cause I don't wanna crush you
But I feel like crushing you
And it's true, I took for granted you were with me
I breathe by your looks and you look right through me (And we were broke and didn't know)
And we were broke and didn't know
And we were broke and didn't know
And we were broke and didn't know
I was deep inside of you
I can go nowhere
I burn candles and stare at a ghost
Deep inside of you
And some great need in me
Starts to bleed
I've lost myself there's nothing left, it's all gone
Deep inside of you
Deep inside of you
Though I realized that (based on the lyrics) the song is about a relationship with a girl, for me it also resonates about friendships.
Some people take the lines ...
"I never felt alone ‘til I met you I’m alright on my own And then I met you"
... to mean the person themselves actually made them feel alone. The lyrics refer to pre-relationship, and relationship itself, then Implies the post-relationship. I don't take it as saying the actual relationship make the person lonely but, having had it then loosing it. Basically they need them now, and possibly they need others as well, when before they didn't have anyone so they didn't know what they were missing. In a way contradicting the concept of "Better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all"
The reason I take the song as referring to not just one relationship but general friendships as well, were from the lines ...
"I would change myself if I could I would walk with my people if I could find ‘em"
... These are strong lyrics for someone who has few (if any) friendships and they are desperately frustrated because they can't find people like them, so instead they will change anything (including themselves) to fit in, and get back what relationships they had and ruined and lost. Wanting to apologize but worried that would just push them further away.
So relationships are a drug, they didn't need it before, but once they had it they needed it and without it ...
"Somethin’s gone You withdraw And I’m not strong like before"
This is one of the most poetic, sexual, beautiful songs. Just listen to the lyrics--it's all about love, well, maybe lust. All the relatioship crap. You know, you love 'em, you hate 'em. Deep inside not only refers to sex but to his feelings that are also deep inside of her. I know this sounds crazy but it's hard to explain. I love this song. I'd love to persoanlly ask Stephen Jenkins, "So, just what exactly is this song about?"
I've been there, done that!! The song is about the end of a relationship, the memories of it. The wanting to call, when you know you shouldn't. The left over desire, the feelings of guilt and sorrow, the feelings of change in your life due to a deep in love relationship. What a great song! This song is permanently dedicated to someone I knew and once loved.
amazing song...
its about a guy who met a chick he didn't think he could get with, but did.. and it changed him.. but he doesn't care about anything but her.. and she destroyed him.. he never felt alone kuz when he was alone he just wanted to be with her.. and he realized he lost all his friends and everything by being with her.. kuz he only felt alive with her.. but when it dies.. he realizes he fell too hard too quick.. n she destroyed him and everything he was.. he's not strong like before.. its almost over for him.....

i agree, but i can't listen to it that often...it makes me too sad.
It's so weird how I can relate to each and everyone of 3eb's songs. They are so amazing. Stephen writes beautiful lyrics. I like the last three verses in particular. I agree with Cool_Dandy I think what he means is that he is deep inside of her heart. The song doesn't necessarily have to be taken sexually. That would be a little too obvious. Thes lyrics are beautiful and a little more complex. You have to look closely to get the full meaning. This song is so sad...I remember a time when I couldn't relate to these broken-hearted songs.
"i breathe by your looks and you look right through me" that is one of my all time favorite lyrics. so true. this song is beautiful.
I..LOVE.. THIS SONG. and THIRD EYE BLIND!! it starts off soo good with the strum of the guitar like that.. I love how its soo beautiful and then it gets sexual when stephan says "shouts in darkness im so alive i'm deep inside of you" i memorized this whole song when i,m bored in class and im trying to keep myself awake i just write the lyrics down. i listen to it soo many times but i NEVER GET TIRED OF IT!!! and i always remember this HOT guy when i hear this song. god im such a dork...
i hope conker's girlfriend didn't cheat on him. i really hope she didn't. i really hope he didn't cry himself to sleep. when i first heard this song, it hought it was about a deep friendship. both of you having depth. now i can clearly see it is about making love, not sex, but making love. but i think it can be both. both being phsyically deep inside of you and emotionally. emotionally attached to the soul deep inside. And some great need in me, starts to bleed I've lost myself there's nothing left It's all gone Deep inside of you you need them and you miss them. you bleed inside. you lose yourself in misery without them. they took your love and your last shread of trust with them.
this song reminds me of summer, so pretty. "and i never felt alone till i met you" so good. lordy. thats all i've got.
