Starfish, he has done a Polka song with lyrics from current popular songs on all of his albums the past 20 years. He does write his own music.
He writes his own music, you're just looking at one of his Polka songs. Have you even listened some of Al's works? Probably not. You just trotted along in here and decided 'ouh nu weerd al iz teh badde!!1' and maybe if you knew a little more, you'd know Al asks the bands before he does his parodies/polka melodies. And I can't stress enough how Al writes his own songs.
you people are so supid. the point is that he's making fun of all these people's songs by singing them like polka...thats what he does for a living. he makes fun of people. and its funny so shut up and listen to weird al make fun of people
Starfish: Every album has one polka song (such as this, and he always has permission), about half parodies (which he also has permission for) and about half entirely original songs, which in no way is anyone but Al responsible for.
Umm.. yeah. I thought it was kind of obvious that these were other people's songs. You don't need to act so shocked. It's not the lyrics that make it funny, it's the fact that he can turn "Flagpole Sitta" and freaking Marilyn Manson into a polka song. I crack up every time he goes for Manson to Hanson. Woah, never noticed how that sounded.
A lot of his other stuff is hilarious, and it's original in lyrics. I'd suggest listening to that stuff if you're really that offended by this song.
These Nursery Rhymes are taught at daycares. he is a disgrace to music, very smilar to Fred Durst in a way, lol. and he writes his own music eh? these lyrics read just about the same as the songs theyre from! eg: the excerpt from closing time, strange isnt it? how the lyrics for this are the same as CLOSING TIME! same with sex and candy by Marcy Playground (a great not-so-popular band). besides, couldnt he at least re-write the lyrics to be his own? and J.Diddy(which is a sad pathetic name BTW) how could he have possible written his own music? he just put all these songs to a different beat...hes really just a crappy DJ when you look at it! so HA!
