I'm a middle school science teacher, and every year, on the last day of class, I have my "official tree hugging hippy lesson". I have an undergraduate degree in environmental studies, so I feel the need to include something environmental each year. I alway start the lesson with this song. The kids listen to it. They read the words and then I have them interpret it. It's pretty cool to watch a bunch of 13 year olds suddenly realize that song lyrics have meaning. And, they always "get it". I also end up with a few new Dave fans by the end of the day too.
this is the first song that i ever saw dave play live, and it was amazing. there's something about sleeping outside in the grass that really puts you in a peaceful way.
Mahicofish- You should really check out some of Dave's other stuff.. like UTTAD. That CD is pure magic.... You picked some good songs but not his best.

I bought one of the One Sweet Whirled ice cream bars today. They're quite tasty. This song is awesome-especially the acoustic version-and makes you think about our planet without sending preachy. My favorite line:

One Sweet World, Everyday, or Angel are Dave's best three songs. For One Sweet World, I can just sit back and listen to the music 'cuz it just relaxes me and gets me through my day.
