213 Lyrics

Driving compulsion morbid thoughts come to mind
Sexual release buried deep inside
Complete control of a prized possession
To touch and fondle with no objection
Lonely souls an emptiness fulfilled
Physical pleasures an addictive thrill
An object of perverted reality
An obsession beyond your wildest dreams

The Death loves final embrace
Your cool tenderness
Memories keep love alive
Memories will never die

The excitement of dissection is sweet
My skin crawls with orgasmic speed
A lifeless object for my subjection
An obsession beyond your imagination
Primitive instinct a passion for flesh
Primal feeding on the multitudes of death
Sadistic acts a love so true
Absorbingly masticating a part of you

Death loves final embrace
Your cool tenderness
Memories keep love alive
Memories will never die

I need a friend
Please be my companion
I don't want to be
Left alone with my sanity

Lead - Hanneman

Erotic sensations tingle my spine
A dead body lying next to mine
Smooth blue black lips
I start salivating as we kiss
Mine forever this sweet death
I cannot forget all your breaths
Panting excitedly with my hands around
Your neck

Shades are drawn
No one out can see
What I've done
What's become of me
Here I stand
Above all that's been true
How I love
How I love to kill you

Tom has a fascination with the minds of serial killers and he certainly did his homework on this one. A PERFECT description of Jeffrey Dahmer. Yes, "213" was his apt number where the majority of his murders took place. There are lots of details here that show that Tom has the portrayal correct. "Complete control of a prized possession" describes Dahmer perfectly. Serial killers have a need to make their murders progressively more sexually explicit and bizarre as they soon get "bored" with their original, more straightforward methods of killing. Dahmer's urges got so out of control that he actually attempted to create "mindless sex slaves" by drilling holes into their heads and pouring acid into their brains. I believe that this practice of Dahmer's is the reason for the "prized possession" bit. The bridge is also a very telling description of Dahmer. In interviews after his apprehension, Dahmer stated that he killed the boys and kept their bodies because this was the only way he could ensure that the lovers would not leave him. He needed a "friend" and a "companion" and he didn't want to be "left alone with his sanity." In his outwardly sane behavior, he felt alone but in his frenzied insane killings and sexual acts, he felt that he had "company." I think this is also what's behind the "Memories keep love alive...Memories will never die" bit. Dahmer even went so far as to say that eating the victims made him feel that they were a "permanent part of him" which is also aptly described by this line. The ending is the perfect summation: "How I'd love...how I'd love to kill you." That's Dahmer summarized perfectly: love and killing are inseparable for him. This lyric is 100% accuracy on the part of Tom Arya. He absolutely nailed the psyche of Dahmer.

This song is about Jeffery Dahmer. 213 is his Apartment number. This song is about his obsession and longing for a companion. His murders were all in the name of finding a companion and keeping them for life.

I disagree with Dahmer being a 'smart' serial killer. He didn't show any signs of killing smartly. The man left remains and heads in his freezer and refrigerator and almost got caught twice due to his victims escaping the apartment (the 2nd time is when the police found the heads and shit in his freezer).

And Dahmer's mind was beyong dangerous. He was way beyond a sick bastard. It's hard to even comprehend what it is like to have sex with a dead body, but to be turned on by it? and do all the stuff he says.

I think Slayer did a great job with this song's mood and it's lyrics. If anything describes the state of mind Dahmer was in, this song would be it!

Uhhhh...No, this song is about Jeffrey Dahmer. 213 was his room number. This song doesn't have any lyrics in reference to suicide.
