Demanufacture Lyrics
Desensitized by the values of life
Maligned and despaired by government lies
Revenge is so strong
I taste it on my tongue
My gun will be
Your angel of mercy
Dislocated by the eyes of disdain
Abused beyond recognition
I can't cope with
The madness abounding
Blasts in my head
Of gunfire resounding
Firing relentless
Killing the senses
I've got no more goddamn regrets
I've got no more goddamn respect
I am the thorn
In your eye
I am the thorn
In your eye
I am the thorn
In your eye
I am the thorn
In your eye
Revenge is so strong
I taste it on my tongue
My gun will be
Your angel of mercy
I've got no more goddamn regrets
I've got no more goddamn respect
Maligned and despaired by government lies
I taste it on my tongue
My gun will be
Your angel of mercy
Abused beyond recognition
The madness abounding
Blasts in my head
Of gunfire resounding
Firing relentless
Killing the senses
I've got no more goddamn respect
In your eye
I am the thorn
In your eye
I am the thorn
In your eye
I am the thorn
In your eye
I taste it on my tongue
My gun will be
Your angel of mercy
I've got no more goddamn respect

Kingfox, you're wrong, Worlock is correct. Fear Factory have a trilogy of concept albums that began with Demanufacture, then Obsolete then ended with Digimortal. Just beacause Obsolete has the story written in the booklet doesnt mean it is the only concept album. Those three albums have one continuous linking story documenting the breakdown of civilisation and the war between man and machine. Demanufacture and Obsolete require the listener to decipher the lyrics and discover the story, Burton wrote those lyrics and he wrote them as a concept story. He has said this in countless interviews.
"Revenge is so strong, taste it on my tongue. my gun will be, your angel of mercy."
holy fuck doesn't that just say it all about society???!! those are the most hardcore lyrics ever written! Powerful shit man. Burton can write em

Not Obsolete, sorry, lol.
is it just me,(im going to get all nostalgic now)or was this song in the Old PS1 game Carmageddon or in its trailer?
cool song =]
yeah it was actually; half of Carmageddon's soundtrack was an instrumental version of the Demanufacture album. The songs included Demanufacture, Zero Signal and Body Hammer, and you can get the Mp3s if you put in your old Carma CD; it's worth a listen, hearing it with and without Burton lets you hear the song in a different level of musicality, I think anyway!

How the fuck does this song only get 10 comments ? This song & album is an absolute fucking metal classic.
Society has used hatred as a tool to weaken the speaker "feelings" (Desensitized), and in turn the person will lash back out on society with violence and hatred. i dont know if thats close but its one farkkkken cool song :)
No, not really close. It's about the backwards trend of society towards violence and ultimately the fall of society. It was written because Dino had a guy pull a gun on him in an LA bar for spilling his beer.
Okay.... so what's the real meaning?
the fear factory albums are a story set in the future incase you didn't relise..... get thier Linchpin EP and watch the clips on that, Burton says it there.
your both wrong
