in bed, real ill.....lonely as hell, thinking of the one you love who doesnt feel that way(anymore), cant sleep, dont know what to say to anyone, i guess the blank page is that the person you love doenst feel the same or that your finding it hard to talk to anyone.... or maybe billys struggling to write songs, this is a great song anyway, one of my faves
You have to undersatnd something.Billy Corgan has been linked with having Borderline personality dissorder(look it up).I suffer from the same thing.All of these lyrics are like looking in to my own mind/soul.Imagine living with all of these emotions at once.Thats one reason I love the Pumpkins, I identify personally with these songs.

My take...He's commenting on the fact that he can't feel any real emotion...But at the same time can't get his mind to rest.The whole part with the "you were not alone" is classic BPD.He's obsessing over something that probably is not...

Never meant to hurt anyone.BPD sufferers often hurt everyone around them in some way.
The rest is pretty obvious once you read about BPD.
Once again, I find myself commenting on another work of art. The piano is haunting...it follows you around in your thoughts. Very beautiful. It's sad, but beautiful.

blank page was all the rage...it´s also a very angry song to me...all anger you had inside never came out...that you stuffed it all inside and never let it out...thats the blank page for me
Whenever I hear this song, it makes me think of people that have AIDS.
To me, this song seems to be about being in love with someone who no longer loves you, or maybe never did in the first place. He wants to forget about the person the song was written about, (You were easy/you are forgotten/You are the ways of my mistakes) but he can't, she's a part of him, as much as it tears him up. It's about the misery, the sadness of losing someone, the desperateness, the feeling of the bloody gash they left in your heart. There's the hope that that person will change, will love you, but they never will.
Its profound, and it speaks to me like WastedYouth said, but its just irritating! Probably the worst Smashing Pumpkins song I've heard. I always skip this track on my CD
This song has it's own meaning for me. Blank Page means getting a point across without saying a word. And to me silence is more rageful than anything else in the world when it comes from someone you love. The silence or lack of response is worse than any shouting match one could ever have. Silence can be a lover's worst nightmare.
