Somebody Else's Song Lyrics
can't change this feeling i'm way out of touch can't change this meaning it means too much
never been this lonely never felt so good
can't be the only one misunderstood i remind myself of somebody else
feeling like i'm chasing like i'm facing myself alone
i've got somebody elses thoughts in my head i want some of my own
i want some of my own i want some of my own
can you see me up here would you bring me back down
cause i've been living to see my fears as they fall to the ground
i remind myself of somebody else
feeling like i'm chasing like i'm facing myself alone
i've got somebody elses thoughts in my head i want some of my own
i want some of my own i want some of my own am i hiding behind my doubts
are they hiding behind me closer to finding out it doesn't mean anything
i remind myself of somebody else now
never been this lonely never felt so good
can't be the only one misunderstood i remind myself of somebody else
feeling like i'm chasing like i'm facing myself alone
i've got somebody elses thoughts in my head i want some of my own
i want some of my own i want some of my own
can you see me up here would you bring me back down
cause i've been living to see my fears as they fall to the ground
i remind myself of somebody else
feeling like i'm chasing like i'm facing myself alone
i've got somebody elses thoughts in my head i want some of my own
i want some of my own i want some of my own am i hiding behind my doubts
are they hiding behind me closer to finding out it doesn't mean anything
i remind myself of somebody else now

Such a good song...
This song, to me, says that he feels like he's not himself, and that he isn't even alive. In the sense that he's actually someone else. He feels, perhaps, as if the society around him has gotten too close to him to the point where he's becoming another "nobody". That's what it sounds like to me.
i love this song. fan-freakin'-tastic
I figure it's about a kid, with expectations all around him, and after all that, he's grown up, he feels like some other guy like einstein, michael jordan or someone forced to be his idol, wonderful song, it's definitely one of the best songs ever since it's strong enough to persuade a person with all those expectations around him(like me)
We are conditioned by society. Told how to think and act by the media. We are forced to live lives that aren't our own. Because of this, we are left with a longing desire to have our own experiences and learn who we really are. That is what this song conveys to me.
The words "feeling like I'm chasing, like I'm facing myself alone" can be so true for me. Have you ever felt that you are your worst enemy? Like you don't have a fear in the world except for the confrontation of your very own being. That song brings my fear of myself to the surface, and I think helps me face it, with those poweful lyrics.
nofamelost...My thoughts exactly...thanks for saving me from having to type ;)
I also have to agree 100% with everything nofamelost said.
We are all controlled by something, be it parents, peers, society.. we're all under someone's control. None of us can honestly say that our thoughts are entirely ours - that our words are not recycled from things we've heard from others. And, in the end, none of it actually means anything.
It would be nice to be able to live a life free of other people's opinions - maybe then, we would be able to know what we really think.
wow the first song that ppl havent said is about god...
