You could be right
And I'll be real honesty
Won't be a pain
You'll have to feel

Cause I don't need
Your approval to find
My worth I've been trapped
Inside of my own

Mind afraid to open
My eyes to what I'd
Find I don't want to
Live like this anymore

There goes my pain there
Goes my chains did you
See them fall there
Goes this feeling that

Has no meaning there
Goes the world off
Of my shoulders there
Goes the world off of

My back there it goes
Does it scare you that
I can be something
Different than you

Would it make you
Feel more comfortable
If I wasn't you can't
Control me you can't

Take away from me who
I am have you ever felt
That your only comfort
Was your cage you're not

Alone I have felt the
Same as you have you ever
Felt like your secrets
Give you away you're not

Alone I have been there,
Too everyone is looking
And everybody is laughing
But I think everyone feels

The same everybody wants
To feel okay everybody
Wants to everybody wants
To feel 'cause you can't

Change me you can't break
Me there goes the world
Off of my shoulders there
Goes the world off of

My back 'cause
I don't want it

I totally didnt see it that way ashleigh... but i know what youre saying. i think the speaker is saying that they are letting go of their chains- but its a process "I'm trapped inside of my own mind Afraid to open my eyes cause of what I'd find and I Don't wanna live like this anymore " And later in the song he brings the listener in by saying "Have you ever felt like your secrets give you away You're not alone I've been there too " I like the image the song gives you. the title implies a pathetic disfigured character but eventually the person is returned to his upright position

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
