Too alarmin' now to talk about
Take your pictures down and shake it out
Truth or consequence, say it aloud
Use that evidence, race it around

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He's ordinary

Don't the best of them bleed it out
While the rest of them peter out?
Truth or consequence, say it aloud
Use that evidence, race it around

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He's ordinary

Kudos, my hero
Leavin' all the best
You know my hero
The one that's on

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He's ordinary

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He's ordinary

Dave has said it's about normal everyday heroes but I think it's kinda to do with Kurt on a subconscious level. Not totally about him though, I don't think Dave was thinking "Oh this song is totally about Kurt" while he was writing it. He's said before that he writes something that, at the time, he has no idea what it's about, and then he realises that it was about something afterall.

    Weird, eh?
