I would like to search inside for all the things that you all hide. What's the problem? Can't
you seem to search through those problems problems that haunt and taunt you?
I smile while you're afraid. You run, while your soul pays.
{Arugh} Do you ever see outside your fears? Thinking about your life. Thinking about
your inner fears.
I like to search inside for the things that you will hide. What's the problem? Can't
you seem to open your body and let me touch you?
{Arugh} Do you ever see outside your fears? Thinking about your life. Thinking about
your fears.
I want you to see, master of disguise. For all the things that hurt you, for all thoes useless lies.
I want you to fear, fill you on up inside. I tried to suck you, in I through you up instead
I try. You win. My life... is ripping your heart out, destroying my pain. (Gouh)

Straight from Jonathan Davis: "Lies picks on those who are too afraid to be themselves. People who hide behind a conformed society. 'I want you to see the life you have disguised' 'Do you ever see from outside your fears' I am pointing out those who fear they too will be laughed at if they step outside the line of individuality."
By the way, the lyrics up there are wrong. And this is one of my favorite songs ever...
it's too bad this song doesn't get alot of attention. it truly is a great song that has plenty of meaning behind it, not to mention instrumentally it is really awesome!
I'm addicted to Korn at the moment. This song fucking reeks of awesomeness. I can't wait to find out how to play this one on guitar.
I think that this song is about all of your problems eating at you from the inside. I think it's about how when you lie to cover up your problems they just add too your problems because then you have the guilt of lies eating at your conciensce too. You should just face up too your problems, rather than being constantly plagued by them and all the lies that you've told to cover them up. I like Jon's lyrics, I think they're cool =] All that shizzle about is what it means to me so please refrain from calling me stupid and an idiot just cause yew don't agree. I find that immensely immature and annoying. Ex's
Yep, it's about the dangers of lies. The whole "twelve year olds shouldn't use the internet" thing is immature troll shit. Ignore it if you don't want him to come back. I usually like most of the songs I hear from KoRn, and I have for a few years, so who cares what your age is?
This is about repressed anger. Concealing your fears with lies, rather than facing them:
"Do you ever see outside your fears? Thinking about your life. Thinking about your inner fears."
It's a warning to escape them. They will slowly corrode you and destroy you, being released via other outlets: acting out sexually, depression, isolation.
Showing your anger is a double-edged sword. You can go idiot destructive: kicking and screaming, or hold it in, repressing your feelings ("Lies") to eventually blow-up. There has to be a healthy alternative. For Jonathan Davis it's clearly his music and lyrics. I haven't figured out mine (that's why I'm listening to this song over and over right now fighting off a self-destructive itch).
What's yours?
I think the beginning of this song sounds a lot like the beginning of "Here To Stay".
you idiot
I love the drums in this song, David is a amazing drummer. I'm guessing that's Head singing the back up vocals.
I Heard This When I Was Like 5 (Now 12) This Was The Frist Korn Song I Ever Heard I Have All Of Korns CD's Korn & Slipknot Shoud Make A CD Together That Would Be SWEET!!
