Yesterday Don't Mean Shit Lyrics
I love this song, so fucking close to my heart. I used to be depressed over a lot of shit, like my family's past poverty and the fact that somebody I used to have a crush on didn't feel the same way about me, that I didn't know what to do with myself. I wish I had taken this song's message to heart back then. I realized "You know what, fuck this depression bullshit. Yesterday don't mean shit, I have to push forward to live for tomorrow." Ever since then, I've been consistently in a good mood. I still have my bouts of sadness, but I get over it far better than I used to.
So with that... FUCK YEAH PANTERA!
Dime ain't gone people, he lives on through his heart and his music. R.I.P. Dimebag
This song is very inspirational. The members of Pantera aren't exactly the most spiritual people on earth, but this song reminds me of something spiritual my father once said. He told me that if ther is a GOD, and you would like help fom this GOD, ask him to help you live in "Today." God can not help you yesterday, he can not help you tomorrow, he can only help you today. Phillip Anselmo said, "tomorrow is the day you'll have to face." It complies perfectly with my fathers words of wisdom.
Forget the past, live for the present, look forward to the future. Get drunk inbetween. And sex, that too is nice.
Does yesterday don't mean shit on the day 12/09/04? Screw the maniac who killed Darryl Abbott. A great song by the way
This song is one bad-ass song to listen to when you're working out. Just pop in Reinventing the Steel, let the whole thing play, and you'll finding yourself busting your ass harder than you thought you could.
I fucking love this song, and this song is kinda inspirational if thats what you wanna call it, my favorite lines are "Yesterday don't mean shit because tomorrow is the day you will have to face" and "The oppressor is in you" So fuckin true..
What a fukin kicks ass sing.Dimebag is a guitar god
Indeed, don't live in the past... I just wish some people would realize it's not the way to live...
yeah, i very much agree with what has already been said, but when i listen to it i think maybe phils talking about how in the old days you actually had to be talented to become famous but in today's world its all about your image and apperrance, and its who you know, not what you know. if that doesnt make sense to you then dont worry about it. \m/ ROCK ON BITCHES \m/
This song is basically geared toward living in the moment and not worrying about yesterday. This is a great fucking song.
