I think this, like most other songs on Subterranean, is about the downside of love. Could be about a relationship that ended in heartbreak.

This song is about how life fucks with you and you just want to die, but you have to just stand up again, and be strong. When life gives you lemons, you burn them! And then you fuck the ashes..

i pretty much agree with Ddadutta like sucks, but you need to refrain from killing yourself, you need to stand ablaze. better things are yet to come
