a sad song it was,
through renewal it brought
and a month seems sometimes shorter
than a half nights longing
hidden and hard are the reasons for war
polar twist, invert and flea
I can´t disolve this feeling of mine
but patience will unlock the door
and the maps of reasons re-written for me
when the wait is over and the punishment is due
each day I crawl to the hall of the giants
and beg for mercy -
and I beg for mercy in vein
one night is a mare - two is worse
How can I manage three ?

this song almost seems about drugs and trying to figure out what is going on in life. its an overwhelming feeling of being lost and pleading with yourself to get over it. thats what i think anyway.... one of my favorite songs
sounds more like 'each day I crawl, to the hall of the silence' to me...
with Insipid. but you know. i think this song is more about the awesome guitar solo. it has like wind sound effect in the background, then theres the awesome Bjorn (i think) solo, which then switches to the Jesper pull off solo which sounds excellent. yeah. that's where i'm at with the song
definition of resin: noun: any of a class of solid or semisolid viscous substances obtained either as exudations from certain plants or prepared by polymerization of simple molecules
the first verse is a sad verse, with seemingly three topics, in reality one: The way something horrible affects you negatively.
the second verse is about letting go of the sadness, and what you got to do to do it.
the chorus seems to suggest that the horrible thing that happened was his own fault. Either way, it haunts him and he begs for "mercy".
I heard a live version of this song, where he definitely said "hall of the SILENCE". It might have been "hall of the silenceD", but in any case - he's not saying "giants.
And Ddadutta: what chorus? This song doesn't have a chorus, right?
sorry, what I meant to say was the third verse.. but while we're on it, "each day I crawl to the hall of the giants and beg for mercy - and I beg for mercy in vein" is repeated at least twice, so it sorta functions as a chorus.
It's about addiction, limp, severe.
In the colony sleevenotes it says "...hall of the giants"...possibly some1 above the character?
This song is brutal. In a live version he says "Each day I crawl to the heart of the silence"
Colony seemed to have a lot of errors.
examples: "The New World" should be "The New Word". On Coerced Coexistance he says Pine when he probably said Pain, proof of my deduction is because he slides into the chorus after repeating "I'll take you on a ride as part-owner to my pain" and sliding in to the chorus would make sense because the "pine" part most likely was actually "pain".
