in my world, the day is no threat
in my world, there is an absence of light
"genetic superiour cell" controled
by fathomless and undearable
a radical new form of plastic and rage
biologically optomized
but with a strangling pulse
in your world, you find me worthy
in my world, I "parashoot" my life
a virtual drogstore populated
by the fathomless and unbearable
machine, meat and blood
in an intimate relationship
the new - superior -
more effective than all the preceeding
where we can no longer
cry and reality is torn
then it´s easy to forget
that the responsibillity lies on us all
in your world, the night is no threat
in my world, the darkness
transforms to a vision of hell
populated by fathomless and unbearable
in my world, there is an absence of light
"genetic superiour cell" controled
by fathomless and undearable
biologically optomized
but with a strangling pulse
in my world, I "parashoot" my life
a virtual drogstore populated
by the fathomless and unbearable
in an intimate relationship
the new - superior -
more effective than all the preceeding
cry and reality is torn
then it´s easy to forget
that the responsibillity lies on us all
in my world, the darkness
transforms to a vision of hell
populated by fathomless and unbearable

This song is about modern technology and Eugenics and how we use it to make life easier and we start to lack the effort to be true to ourselves (a virtual drugstore) artificial highs people get from modern life and soon life gets boring and we lose our ability to have awe for life.
Reminds me a lot of "Jester Script Transfigured". Describing the same dystopia.
one fucking hell of a song!!! defenatly one of their greatest tracks
One fucking awesome song!
Hmm. I almost wonder if this is more of a "sci-fi" song as per Fear Factory: visions of future apocalypse when humans are no longer truly human. Then again, this can be taken in the context of genetic engineering and modern "comforts of living".
I wonder about the lines "Where we can no longer / cry and reality is torn". Taken in terms of the sci-fi... it would seem that the talk of "machine, meat and blood" would mean that emotions are hard-wired out of humanity. In the context of genetic engineering, it could mean that our current media so bombards and saturates us that we become desensitized to world pain and horror, and to the testing that is done on animals for the drugs that provide the remedy to almost any malady we face.
I like everybody who like in flame.......i think i should not tell more about in flame, u should all understand, i m a freak of in flames
it IS about how we're degenerating into lazy fucks who don't do anything for ourselves anymore. it suggests that we should work a little more for our rewards instead meeting the bare minimum requirements.
this is one of my favourite In Flames song, the guitar solo near the end is spine chilling. i love it! it gives you the feeling all music should.
clearly it's about lazyness.
The "in my world, the day is no threat in my world, there is an absence of light 'genetic superiour cell'" part seems to be about sci-fi to me but as any In Flames freak knows: The lyrics are interpretted as you wish them to..
it's about swedish government sucking, as is nearly every in flames song.
