Slice Paper Wrists Lyrics
I have let my/ true form show
and it is my last/ time
lost in all my guilt/ for letting you fall
understand it/ wasn't me (2x)
where were you
I remember the day/ the sun went out
it halted all progression with all its beauty
it just sacrificed/ we fell apart
as I ask (3x) Why ask these questions?
Sincerely yours I've disowned you (3x)
Sincerely yours I've disowned us
First off, killabean, if you have to resort to this to get chicks I seriously hope your dick can reach your ass because the only person you'll ever fuck is yourself. On a better note, this is a truly incredible song. The "I remember the day the sun went out..." part has to be one of my favorites. I have to agree with everyone who has said this song is like a suicide note; even the title (Slice Paper Wrists) is an allusion to suicide.
if my wrists were made of paper i would used a scissors to slice them or maybe i could just set them on fire, paper burns pretty good maybe instead of slicing them i could fold them up into a swan
Ok, you know nothing about music and should end your life right now. Poison The Well are metalcore, with lots of melody, making them melodic hardcore. They have nothing to do with emo. Screamo is hardcore emo, a sub-genre of emo. Just cause Guitar World calls them Screamo doesn't mean they are. Guitar World knows nothing, and neither o you. And your definition of straight hardcore is horrible. Boys Night Out is melodic hardcore too. As Hope Dies is metalcore. Straight hardcore is Black Flag, Agnostic Front, etc. Just quit using genre titles and stick to your trendy bands like PTW.
correct lyrics:
WHEN YOU READ THIS I WILL NOT BE THE SAME I HAVE LET MY true form show And this is my last TIME LOST IN ALL MY GUILT FOR LETTING YOU FALL Understand it WASN'T ME LOST IN ALL MY GUILT FOR LETTING YOU FALL Understand it WASN'T ME BUT I CAN'T DREAM WITHOUT SHOWING INTENTIONS As I ask, as I ask, as I ask, as I ask WHY ASK THESE QUESTIONS WHERE WERE YOU NOW I CAN'T SEE THROUGH YOUR EYES
I remember the day the sun went out It halted all progression with all it's beauty Just sacrificed, we fell apart
As I ask, as I ask, as I ask, as I ask WHY ASK THESE QUESTIONS
I remember the day the sun went out It halted all progression with all it's beauty Just sacrificed and we fell apart Just sacrificed and we fell apart
SINCERELY YOURS I'VE DISOWNED YOU SINCERELY YOURS I'VE DISOWNED YOU SINCERELY YOURS I'VE DISOWNED YOU SINCERELY YOURS I'VE DISOWNED US
I can't even describe how much I love this song. I can play it over and over and never get sick of it, I just love the agression in the beginning, and then it just slows down incredibly. "I remember the day the sun went out, it halted all progression with all it's beauty. It just sacrificed and we fell apart." I can feel the emotion put into that single line. The work of a master.
This song is a beautiful form of expression like a pinting, it has depths and layers beyond anything, it is melodic harsh, silent noisy, al mixed in to create a perfect mixture of melodic hardcor one of the best songs I've heard since pretty lush by GlassJAw
The mix of the singing styles gives it such depth. When it's actually singing and not screaming, his voice is beautiful. Songs by Poison the Well have so much meaning and emotion put into them. That's why it's so easy to love them and play them on repeat for hours whether I'm depressed, lonely, or happy it always helps me through my emotions so that I can handle them. That's what I call art.
PTW is one of teh best bands out. they are what you actually call "ART" (like Juice said) that is why they are so good. The mainstream has yet to get to them ( hopefully never will....).
Yes this song does kick some serious ass......... i wasnt paying attention too much the first time i listened to this cd but when the "I remember the day the sun went out It halted all progression with all its beauty it just sacrificed we fell aart played i really started listening and man.......cd just rocked......... i wanna get tear from the red now sooo bad hehe
Tear from the red is good. I heard it before. I think the other side of december is their best CD
